Terms of use
and submission.

These terms apply to your use of jugaadvalley.com and to anything you send us through it. By using the site or submitting through it, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

We and us mean Jugaad Valley Labs. You means anyone using the site or submitting through it.

1. The site and what is on it

• Everything on this site — text, images, logos, the studio name, and the projects described — belongs to us or is used with permission. You may read and share it. You may not copy, republish or adapt it for your own purposes without written permission.
• Projects shown here are works in progress. Descriptions, stages, dates and requirements change, and nothing on this site is an offer, a commitment, or a representation that a project will be made.
• We may change, move or remove anything on the site at any time.

2. Submitting to us

This section is the important one. Read it before you send anything.

2.1 Your work stays yours

An idea, script, treatment, portfolio or other material you send remains yours. Sending it to us transfers no ownership and grants us no right to produce, adapt or exploit it.

2.2 What sending grants us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to receive, read, store, circulate internally and evaluate what you send, for the sole purpose of considering it. That licence covers nothing else and ends when we have finished considering it, apart from the record we keep under our privacy policy.

2.3 No confidentiality unless agreed

We receive a large volume of material and cannot accept confidentiality obligations by default. Unless we have signed a confidentiality agreement with you before you send, your submission is not treated as confidential. If your material needs protecting first, tell us and we will agree terms before you send it.

2.4 Similar and independent work

We develop our own projects and receive many submissions. We may already be working on something similar to what you send, may receive something similar from someone else, or may develop something similar later without reference to your material. Sending us a submission does not restrict what we may work on, and does not by itself give you any claim over our work. Nothing in this clause takes away any right you have in your own material.

2.5 What you confirm when you submit

• The material is yours, or you have the right to send it.
• It does not infringe anyone else's rights and is not defamatory, unlawful or obscene.
• You are 18 or over.
• You are not sending it under any obligation to a third party that would prevent us from considering it.

If a claim is made against us because this was not true, you agree to indemnify us for the loss it causes.

2.6 No obligation, no fee

We read what is sent and reply, but we are under no obligation to consider, use, develop, credit or pay for any submission. Submitting creates no fee, no expectation of payment, and no commitment of any kind on our part.

3. If we take something forward

• Anything beyond an initial reply happens only on terms agreed in writing between us before work begins. That written agreement, not this page and not any conversation, governs the engagement.
• Those terms set out what the work is, what is owned by whom, what credit applies, and what is paid, if anything. All of it is negotiated case by case.
• Credit, where it applies, is given in a form agreed in that document. It is not automatic and does not follow from a submission being read or used in part.
• No email, call or message creates an engagement on its own.

4. Creative Rooms

• Applying to a room does not guarantee a place. Selection is at our discretion and we are not required to give reasons beyond the reply we send.
• Rooms work on projects we own. Material produced in a room in relation to those projects is dealt with under the written terms you agree before the room begins. You will see those terms before you commit, not after.
• Where a room is free of charge, that does not create an employment, internship or apprenticeship relationship, and no fee is payable by either side unless the written terms say so.
• Dates, format, seats and deadlines may change. We will tell applicants if they do.
• We may ask you to leave a room for conduct that affects others in it.

5. Using the site properly

You agree not to:

• Submit anything false, unlawful, or not yours to send.
• Use the forms to send bulk, automated or commercial solicitations.
• Attempt to access, disrupt or test the site or its systems without permission.
• Scrape, mirror or reproduce the site's content at scale.

We may refuse or remove any submission, and restrict access to the site, without notice.

6. Third-party links and embeds

The site links to and embeds material from other services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

7. What we do not promise

The site is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, including that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that information about projects, dates or availability is current or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the site or from a submission. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount actually paid by you to us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here when you submit is the one that applies to that submission. Material changes will be flagged on the site.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will decide any dispute.
