What the room is

A room works through a set of tasks on one script — finished or not, a scene, a structure problem, a character that isn’t working. Everyone takes on the same tasks, pages are read aloud, and what holds gets folded into the script. Anything made in the room, and any idea from it that is used, is owned by the studio; credit is agreed with you if it is used.

Who can apply

  • Anyone who writes. No credits, degree or industry contact needed.
  • 18 or over.
  • Able to make every evening — the room only works if it stays the same six people.
  • Comfortable working in English or Hindi.
  • A device and a connection steady enough for a three-hour call.

What comes with it

  • Credit if an idea from you is used in the final script, agreed with you.
  • No fee to attend.
  • Feedback on your pages from the room.
